Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? What about my kids?
We want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit, so we have listed answers to some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
We conduct services on Sunday mornings at 10am and Wednesday evenings at 7pm. We are located at 899 East Hill Drive New Kensington, PA 15068.
Do not feel obligated to dress up, but if you do you will not be alone. Some people come to church with shorts and a t-shirt, others wear a full suit or dress.
On Sunday mornings, the adult service consists of opening prayer, a congregational song, an offertory, a one-hour message from the Word of God, then dismissal. The focus is on the Word of God in accordance with Ecclesiastes 5:1 -"When you set your foot in the house of God, be more ready to listen..."
All that is required on the part of the congregation is courtesy toward others who are gathered for quiet concentration on the teaching of the Scriptures. In this way, we fulfill the mandate in James 1:19, 21 to be "quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger...and with courtesy and teachability, to receive the Word-implanted, the Word that is empowered to deliver and preserve our souls."
Every quarter on the last Sunday morning of the month, we celebrate a communion service after the message. Anyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God may share in communion with us, regardless of church membership.
We have a parking lot with more than enough available space at the front and the side of the church.
Yes!* We have several groups for kids of all ages. We offer child care for babies and toddlers, various children's Bible classes for preschoolers through the 6th grade (based on age/grade), and a teen ministry for 7th through 12th graders.
*Please note the Teen Ministry is only available on Sunday mornings.
In keeping with our policy of giving, the offerings present an opportunity for believers to present a "sacrifice of substance" (a monetary offering) to the Lord for the furtherance of the work of the ministry of Tetelestai Church and making available the teaching of the Word of God to anyone who wants it, without cost. These offerings are entirely voluntary in accordance with 2 Corinthians 9:6, and no one should ever feel pressure and/or obligation to give.
